Classic Sailboat, Approaching a Storm On Lake Erie, Wall Decor

An unforgettable photo of a classic sailboat approaching a wall cloud, part of a spectacular storm on the Great Lakes. This occurred off the Canadian coast near Erieau, Ontario, on Lake Erie. I had missed two previous storm photos because of a lack of preparedness. Consequently, I bought a manual Pentax and pre-focused the camera with a 35mm wide-angle lens so that I could include the foreground and background. I kept this on the boat in order to be ready. The tiller was between my legs to steer, and the camera in my hands as I tried to keep my horizon level and align the mast with the storm. The winds blew about sixty miles an hour as I struggled to compose the photo.
