An immature green heron resting on a branch. This little guy was clowning for the camera. Great photo for a child's room.
This was taken at Shark Alley in the Everglades. I had my large lens set up and focused on an alligator. I was using it as a decoy. Other photographers would walk by, take a look and keep going. They didn't see this baby heron in the shadows.
